James Moore Field House is Southern's primary indoor athletic complex. The main arena, with a permanent seating capacity of 2,800, houses the main basketball court (renovated in 1995), as well as a six-lane, 220 - yard, artificially-surfaced track (renovated in Summer, 1997).
The field house is utilized for all major indoor events and can accommodate multiple practice sessions simultaneously. Drop curtains and netting allow the main arena to accommodate a complete baseball or softball infield for practice or camps, as well as traditional indoor programs. Moore Fieldhouse also has weight-training facilities, locker rooms, equipment room and full athletic training room.
Moore Fieldhouse has been the site of various regional basketball, gymnastics, swimming and track and field championships for collegians and high school athletes.

Not many people can say they
have won a national championship
or have appeared on the cover of a national magazine. Southern cheerleader Brianna Reilly can now claim both accomplishments at the ripe old age of 20.
